Rainer Linnemeyer

Rainer is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for serving his community through integrative care. In his practice, Rainer cares for the whole person, utilizing a holistic approach that supports the well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. He believes in the power of combining conventional medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies, viewing the patient as a whole rather than a set of isolated symptoms. Rainer creates a supportive partnership with his patients, dedicated to helping them achieve their health goals through compassionate, well-rounded care.

Rainer's Story

Rainer is a husband, a father, a healthcare provider and a farmer.  As a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner he takes a unique and integrative approach to medicine, believing that it is just as important to find and treat the root cause of disease as it is to treat the symptoms.  He has grown frustrated with the modern healthcare system, which he believes does not allow for sufficient time for counseling and education to effectively treat the root causes of disease.

His journey in healthcare began in the fast-paced environment of acute care and emergency medicine. Witnessing firsthand the limitations of conventional medicine, he was drawn to the potential of integrative and functional medicine and its ability to address the root causes of chronic illness. This led to a position at Sunrise, where he provided primary care services using an integrative approach, integrating conventional medicine with complementary therapies to optimize patient well-being.  This included managing diabetic patients with conventional and complementary interventions, and in some cases was able to get patients off medications.

Driven by a desire to provide truly personalized and accessible healthcare, he opened an integrative family health practice.  This unique practice allows him to spend more time with each patient, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs and incorporating a range of integrative therapies to promote optimal health and well-being.

He is a passionate advocate for patient-centered care in the field of integrative medicine. His commitment to providing comprehensive, personalized healthcare is evident in his diverse career path and dedication to his patients.

About Isabella

Isabella's Story

Isabella graduated with her Master’s in Science in Nursing from Regis University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in community health, primary care, women’s health, and urgent care. As a Colorado native, she was passionate to serve her own community and started her nurse practitioner career at a federally qualified community health center caring for the underserved, refugee, and homeless populations in Denver. As a nurse, she has worked in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, emergency, and intensive care. While all of this experience has built a wealth of medical knowledge and community connection, Isabella quickly realized where conventional medicine was lacking. She discovered how unique an individual's health needs are but if often overlooked in a traditional healthcare setting. She became frustrated with creating band aid solutions to chronic disease management which inspired her to pursue a functional medicine specialty. Her goal is to collaborate with her patient’s to address the root cause of disease, using her root cause resolution medicine approach; combining a unique blend of western, holistic, and lifestyle based interventions.

As a functional medicine nurse practitioner Isabella provides care to women and their families. She has experience caring for women and children in every stage of life from puberty and early childbearing age, to family planning, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Isabella specializes in women’s health, fertility and reproductive planning, cycle syncing, hormone imbalances, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, cardiometabolic disease, nutrient deficiencies, and digestive issues. Isabella offers annual well woman exams, pediatric physicals, and acute or sick visits.

Outside of patient care you can find Isabella doing yoga, hiking with her German Shepherd Hank, skiing, antiquing, baking, or taking any opportunity for a “nature bath” in all that Colorado has to offer. Isabella looks forward to caring for you and anyone in your family looking for an integrative approach to their health.

Cassie Petro

Cassie Petro is a Certified Nutritionist (CN) and board-certified Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) who believes that integrative medicine, personalized nutrition, and a compassionate relationship with food are foundational to true health and healing. Her work is grounded in evidence-based nutrition science, trauma-informed care, and health equity. Cassie takes a collaborative, whole-person approach that prioritizes nourishment, function, and body trust- recognizing that health is not one-size-fits-all and that every body deserves respectful, individualized care.

About Cassie

Cassie's Story

Cassie Petro is a Colorado native, Certified Nutritionist (CN) in the state of Washington, and board-certified Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) through the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists (BCNS) and the American Nutrition Association. She believes that integrative medicine and personalized nutrition are often the missing links in achieving optimal health and long-term wellbeing. Cassie holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Health from Metropolitan State University of Denver, as well as a Master of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Global Health from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.

After graduate school, Cassie practiced clinical nutrition therapy in Washington State. Although the Pacific Northwest felt like home, she ultimately returned to Colorado to establish her private practice and help expand access to integrative, holistic nutrition care within her community. Witnessing the differences in naturopathic and integrative care between regions strengthened her passion for ensuring more individuals and communities can experience the life-changing benefits of a whole-person approach to healthcare.

Cassie’s scope of practice includes personalized nutrition therapy with a focus on digestive health, hormonal health, metabolic function, maternal and child health, mental health, and lifestyle medicine. She has spent over a decade deepening her training in evidence-based medicine, trauma-informed care, medical nutrition therapy, and public health. Cassie believes that true healing occurs when clinical care honors both the science of nutrition and the lived experiences of the individual.

Food is central to our lives, cultures, and health, which is why nurturing a supportive relationship with food is a core pillar of Cassie’s work. Her approach is collaborative, non-prescriptive, and highly individualized—designed to optimize alignment and function within the whole body and mind. Cassie integrates evidence-based nutrition science, functional medicine principles, health coaching, and integrity to help clients reduce internal and external barriers to nourishment through education, empowerment, and sustainable lifestyle change.

Cassie practices from a weight-inclusive, non-diet framework and does not focus solely on weight loss. She recognizes that weight has little clinical significance on its own and that changes in weight are often symptoms of deeper physiological, emotional, or environmental imbalances. Her work supports clients in learning how to properly nourish their bodies, deconstruct weight stigma and diet culture, and cultivate body neutrality and trust. Rather than controlling or fixing the body, Cassie helps clients understand what their bodies need to feel and function better.

When working with Cassie, clients can expect to reconnect with their bodies, challenge long-held beliefs around food, gain confidence in meal preparation, and learn how to navigate nutrition information without overwhelm. She works with toddlers, children, teens, and adults, and has extensive experience supporting families across a wide range of health concerns and abilities.

Outside of clinical work, Cassie enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, experimenting in the kitchen, and getting lost in a good book. Her hobbies include yoga, mobility training, pickleball, volleyball, and various arts and crafts. Her greatest passion, however, is travel and backpacking—especially experiencing new cultures through food.

Our Philosophy

At Wozani Integrative Health, we believe in nurturing health from the ground up. Founded on the conviction of addressing the underlying causes of disease, our mission is to empower you and your family to thrive through a holistic approach to well-being.

Born from a love of family and the earth, our journey began when we purchased a farm to teach our children the secrets of real food and a healthy lifestyle. This passion for nature's bounty and its connection to vibrant health laid the foundation for Wozani Farm and Wozani Integrative Health.

What’s in a Name?

At Wozani Integrative Health, our name is the foundation of our philosophy. It represents our history, our hopes for the community, and the way we view the journey of healing.

Pronunciation & Origin

It is pronounced WO-ZA-NEE.

The word stems from the rich heritage of South Africa, where Rainer’s wife, Liz, was born and raised. In both the Zulu and Xhosa languages, the root word Woza means "come," and Wozani is the invitation extended to a group.

Wozani (v.): To come together; to gather.

From the Farm to the Practice

The spirit of "gathering" has been central to our vision since we put down roots in the Tri-Town area.

  • 2018: When we purchased our land, we envisioned it not just as a home, but as a gathering place for the community. In this spirit, Wozani Farm was born.

  • 2023: When Rainer opened his integrative health practice, the very first office was situated right on the farm.

As the practice grew, carrying the name forward was a natural choice. It just seemed fitting. At Wozani Integrative Health, we believe that wellness is not a solo endeavor. It is a shared path where we travel the health journey together, continuing to learn, heal, and grow as a community.

Wozani. Come together. Let’s begin the journey.

Rooted in Nature, Growing in Frederick

At Wozani Integrative Health, we believe that true wellness stems from a deep connection with nature. To better serve our community, we have moved to a new, larger office space in downtown Frederick.

While we are no longer physically located on Wozani Farm, we have not forgotten the roots we came from. Our philosophy remains grounded in the soil: we emphasize disease prevention and the belief that treating chronic conditions often involves returning to a natural, whole-foods diet. The farm’s spirit continues to inspire our practice, serving as a constant reminder of nature's power to heal.

We envision good health as a harmonious blend of nourishing food, sunshine, and the natural world. We are excited to cultivate this harmony with you in our expanded downtown space.
